  • "We Still Hate United States" - Iran

Iran has ended speculations of possible ties with White House after the U.S. elections.

Iranian nation "detests America", according to the nations top religious and political leader.

U.S. is often referred to as the "Great Satan".

Iran wants "no easing of animosity" with Washington anytime soon.

The two nations have been bitter foes since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

Our hatred for America is "deep", said Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Ayatollah said the nuclear dispute with U.S. was beyond differences of opinion on a few political issues. Iranian people "hate America" because of its plots against our country for the past 50 years.

Iranians blame America for removing their elected Prime Minister Mosadeq in 1953. Ayatollah Khamenei holds U.S. responsible for the coup that disposed Mr Mosaddeq. Iranian leader said America was not interested in democracy in Iran. He accused the U.S. for installing the Shah as a dictator in 1953.

Ayatollah Khamenei praised the students of the Revolution who took American diplomates from the U.S Embassy in Tehran.

American diplomates were declared "spies" by Iran and held as hostages for a year. They were released after U.S. finally bowed to Iranian demands. Ayatollah said seizing the American diplomates from the Embassy was a "great move" by the brave students. They have acted against the "den of espionage".

Supreme Leader of Iran demanded that United States apologise for its "past crimes" against the Iranian nation. America "must admit" that it did wrong to Iranians in 1953.

If U.S. seeks closer ties, it "must apologise" to Iranians, said the Ayatollah.

  • U.S. "dropped Nuclear Bomb" on Iraq

On 27 February 1991 American Army dropped a Nuclear Bomb in South Iraq.

A five-kilotonne nuclear device was exploded by U.S. troops in Basra.

Pentagon has tried to deny the incident.

However, U.S. Military personnel have come forwards to reveal that they had used nuclear wepaons. It is now claimed by American soldiers that U.S. Army had indeed used a nuclear bomb during the first Gulf War.

One former U.S. soldier and military expert at Fort Drum confirmed that nuclear bomb was used in Iraq.

The Mechanical Engineer Jim Brown of US Army's 10th Mountain revealed that U.S. Military did drop an Atomic bomb in southern Iraq. He said that the nuclear blast resulted in small earth quake of 4.2 scale.

The claim was independently confirmed by Britain's International Seismological Center. The centre said the quake occured at exactly 1:39pm 27.02.1991.

The nuclear blast was also registered by similar monitoring centres in Canada, Sweden and Norway.

Iran also says it had recorded the quake resulting from the nuclear explosion in Iraq.

On Friday 24 October 2008, Iran's former President Ali Rafsanjani claimed a U.S. nuclear attack in Basra.

Mr Rafsanjani, now in the Assembly of Experts, said the Pentagon had suppressed the truth by banning anyone from investigating the explosion in Basra. He said reports of nuclear blast were censored in the media.

Gulf War ended the day after the explosion of the nuclear device.

Washington has classified the documents of the 1991 incident.

Japan has already suffered from nuclear weapons. United States had dropped two Atom Bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Iraqi doctors say as in case of Japan, nuclear blast in Basra also resulted in dramatic increase in number of cancers in the area.

  • Treaty with U.S "A Sin God would not forgive"

"Man of God" scuttles Iraq's agreement with United States.

Washington deal with Iraq known as the "Status of Forces Agreement" has been dealt a serious blow by top Shi'ite Cleric.

Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Al-Haeri told the Iraqi lawmakers not to sign the American pact.

The agreement would have given immunity to American soldiers to commit crimes in Iraq and not face Iraqi justice.

The Grand Ayatollah said signing this humiliating deal with America would be "a sin that God would not forgive".

The religious leader has great influence over large number of people inside and outside the Iraqi parliament.

Iraq's Parliament is now refusing to accept the the treaty and demands changes to the text.

Washginton had been making attempt to rush the treaty through.

U.S. Army Chief in Iraq General Odierno had tried to put pressure on Iraqis to sign the treaty by saying that they were letting Iran dictate the terms of the agreement. Iraqi lawmakers were furious and condemned Odierno for meddling in Iraq politics. They demanded to review the entire treaty with U.S.

In Lebanon, Hezbollah's Spiritual leader also blasted the U.S for trying to legitimise the occupation of Iraq.

Ayatollah Fadlalah said Iraqi should not endorse the dishonourable deal.
